The 2013 Cruzin’ for Life morning events got everything rolling with the car show and survivor’s cruise. The afternoon and evening was just as spectacular with the charity dinner and auction.
Hungry appetites were pleased to find slow cooked port-wine tri-tip, barbecue chicken, salad, and garlic bread for dinner (yum!).
The auction is always the main event, and boy was it lively this year! Fierce bidding wars energized the room. Participants bid on cakes, trips to Hawaii, and signed memorabilia from NASCAR driver Tony Stewart and the band One Direction. The evening also included impromptu auction items, as cancer survivors took the stage and auctioned off their own personal jewelry (which they’d worn to the event)! It was a moving evening. We’re always inspired by how the Santa Maria community comes together to support this cause.
The evening ended with dancing and live music from rock musician Chuck Negron of the band Three Dog Night. It was a fantastic event!
