Jen and Rob held their reception under the light of the supermoon!

Russell composed this glowing shot on a hill that overlooked the couple’s party at Arista Winery in Healdsburg, California. The moon had just begun to peek over the horizon, which is when it appears the biggest to us earth folks.

The moon was actually much brighter than the bride and groom (according to Cosmic Log at NBCNews.com, it was 30% brighter than normal), so Russell had to light them up. His second photographer, Joe, held a speedlight just out of frame while Jen and Rob tried their level best to not tumble down the hill.
