Pasadena Glen Family Portrait
We trekked into the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains for this Pasadena Glen family portrait. The woods are so beautiful up there. The roads wind into narrow passageways with tree trunks covered in ivy. Lush foliage surrounds you, and tucked away between the trees are magical bungalows in the Greene & Greene style that Pasadena is so famous for. They’re the kind of cabins that make me want to hunker down and write my next novel. It’s inspiring.
Russell and I went into the forest to meet up with some of our favorite clients: the Hayes family. We’ve photographed them and their two boys for four years now. I always look forward to Ethan and Luke’s ruckus o’ fun. Especially this year, when the two adorable kids walked up in their Star Wars t-shirts. Of course, the real Star Wars nerd is dad. They named one of their sons Luke, after all. And the Pasadena Glen is the kind of magical place you just might find a young Jedi in training. I’ll keep a look out for Yoda.
