Every year, Russell and I create a silly holiday card. From Twilight spoofs to wacky reindeer, we get a kick out of imagining a ways to outdo last year’s card.

Yes, it’s true, we got engaged over Thanksgiving!

No, we aren’t as big of Star Trek fans as this card might make us out to be. However, we both grew up during the heyday of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and after we got engaged we couldn’t stop making jokes using Captain Picard’s signature line to “engage.” Thus, a silly holiday engagement announcement was born. Plus, how much fun is it to Photoshop a Klingon forehead onto your fiance? THIIIIIS much fun.
