Pasadena Photobooth: Vroman’s Summer Reading Event

I’m in love with this Pasadena photobooth event. It combines three of my all-time favorite things: kids reading books, bookstores, and Doctor Who!
Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena has an annual Summer Reading Program for kids. This year’s program had a Doctor Who theme, naming the program V.R.O.M.I.S (Vehicle for Reading Original, Magnificent and Imaginative Stories) as a spin on the T.A.R.D.I.S, the Doctor’s time machine that carries him through time and space. At summer’s end, the booksellers at Vroman’s throw an inter-galactic party to celebrate everyone’s hard work! This year’s summer reading event featured timey-wimey cookies, space crafts, door prizes, and a whirl in our TARDIS-themed photobooth.
Also, notice the space-y bits and bobs on the photobooth backdrop … designed and made by the staff of the children’s department in Vroman’s!
Take a spin through the fun images from this event as kids get silly, don bowties (bowties are cool!), and show off their crafts. It was an absolutely fantastic, allons-y-riffic, event. And you can trust me on that, I’m the Doctor.
