When I say “Knott’s Berry Farm wedding,” you may think this couple got hitched on a roller coaster ride. That may be possible, and we’re totally up for it … however, the Knott’s Berry Farm Church of Reflections is the exact opposite of an amusement park thrill. With a redwood interior and classic church spire, the chapel is reminiscent of early New England churches, making it a fantastically serene place to get married.
Go ahead and waltz on through the chapel’s surrounding walkways … which were perfect for outdoor bride and groom portrait session, by the way. Russell had loads of fun with this beaming couple as they strolled through the blossoming trees, bamboo garden, and babbling streams surrounding the chapel. All the walkways top off the charm with quaint lamp posts da-boot!
Of course, the venue is not the only adorable part of this wedding. Kendal and Christopher had their own cute-as-a-button style: yellow ties, sunflower bouquets, and a fifties-esque wedding dress with a ruffle petticoat. You’re going to fall in love with this couple. We sure did.
Enjoy this peek at their big day.
This is the second sunflower wedding I’ve shared on the blog this month. I do declare, I’m loving these bright yellow blooms. Perfect for summer!
This sunflower boutonniere is striking. Add to it that yellow tie and light grey suit! Gorgeous.
The brides flouncy petticoat was darling. I want to see her twirl and twirl and twirl.
The couple shared a first look on one of the darling walkways outside the Church of Reflections.
You can’t beat a sunny day in Southern California like this one.
Gotta love a man who can dip his lady with this much ease!
The couple climbed in and snuggled up in a grove of bamboo.
Look how quaint and adorable the Church of Reflections at Knott’s Berry Farm is!
I love these DIY baby’s breath aisle decorations and chalkboard wedding sign.
Here comes the bride!
It’s luminous inside the Church of Reflections wedding chapel. The light pours in through the stained glass windows and the couple is framed by gorgeous candelabras.
After the ceremony the couple held their reception at the Placentia Round Table Women’s Club.
I loved this photo session on the lawn. The couple were surrounded by yellow and white beach balls that the kids (and some adults) were playing with. This area became the kids’ play area for the reception.
Being an amateur cake baker, one of my favorite wedding traditions is the cake. This simple bird wedding cake captures the couple perfectly.
The Placentia Round Table Women’s Club was done up for the reception. String lights, paper lanterns, and sunflower centerpieces made the reception sparkle.
Congratulations Kendal and Christopher!
Russell photographed this couple for KelliMac Images. Kelli is one of our favorite people ever to wield a camera, and we try to shoot with her whenever possible!
