Last weekend was Halloween, and boy did we get a treat. We photographed a one-of-a-kind Halloween wedding at the Millwick in Downtown LA!

Were there costumes, you ask? You better believe it! In fact, the bride and groom pulled a first on us. The two were announced man and wife while wearing horse and unicorn masks! The bride also played with wedding and Halloween traditions by carrying a flower-filled gold pumpkin down the aisle instead of a classic bouquet. Not to mention the gorgeous Wes-Anderson-meets-Halloween design by So Smitten Special Events. The decorations were positively overflowing with Halloween candy awesomeness.

The downtown LA location was also perfect for this rock n’ roll couple. The Millwick lies in the heart of the downtown arts district, and the surrounding streets are covered in gorgeous wall murals. It was the perfect backdrop for some urban bride and groom portraits.

There’s so many more treats to come from this wedding. I haven’t even started to talk about the reception design, or the Halloween photobooth, or the old movies projected on the wall.
