Magic hour is always a beautiful time for Newport Beach family portraits!

We were humbled that the Norton family (who hail from Utah) was willing to take some time away from their family vacation to smile in front of our lenses. Happy to get their feet dirty in the sand, they met us at one of our favorite Southern California beaches as the sun began to set. Kelli joined us to help photograph and to keep another watchful eye on the details.

Bright-eyed and full of life is the best way to describe this group! This is the second time we’ve photographed the Nortons, and it was a delight to meet two new family members (making a grand total of 14!) I love it when we get a chance to photograph a family multiple times … my favorite part is seeing how the kids have grown! It’s amazing to see kids who were barely crawling a few years ago, now full of sass and running circles around Russell (or asking me how to dye their hair purple! Sorry, Mom. I swear she’ll grow out of it!).
